It's Thursday and I'm Weary

Today was hard on us. Not because anything necessarily happened to Willow. They have weaned her down, if not off of a lot of meds. They took the dressing permanently off her incision. The goal is for her to get off the ventilator tomorrow and possibly get her chest tube out. This will help a lot! They did what they call sprints where she was off the vent for an hour and she did great breathing on her own. Please pray that the vent and chest tube DO come out tomorrow (just because we hope for something, doesn't mean it will happen)! What I am struggling with today is her heart block. Her heart is still not communicating to fire at the right times and locations so she is still on the pacemaker. Her surgeon told us not to worry till Sunday about another open heart surgery, but I am worried. At this point in my life, I don't know how to not expect the worse possible scenario will happen to me. I have broken down crying multiple times thinking about another open heart surgery and a pacemaker. Please pray for my heart (and Tim's). She is also in a bay of beds just separated by curtains, not an individual room. Today, other kids in the bay had 4 sterile procedures done so no one could be in the bay for 2 hours while each procedure was preformed. So we felt like we really didn't and couldn't see her much. We are just 54 hours out from her surgery and it feels like we have been here forever. I miss home, I miss our friends, I miss my bed, I miss some sort of normalcy, but mostly...I miss Willow. Not sedated Willow, MY Willow. Please pray for courage, for renewed strength, for miracles... we need a miracle. Tomorrow is a new day and I pray that it brings new miracles. Please pray.

  2. Oh, Jesus! Sometimes it seems like it would be so much easier to go through this stuff if we only knew why it had to be this way! Jesus, help us to accept what is and to trust you to make all the pieces fit - literally and figuratively. Jesus, will you take the tiny pieces of Willow’s fragile heart and mend them fully together? Will you use your hand to give it the correct rythm again? Will you clear away the stumbling blocks once and for all and restore Willow to full health? Will you give Tim and Alison rest from this difficult journey they’ve been on? We know you’re a good Father and that you like to give good gifts to your children; will you do that now? Will you wake this family up in the morning to renewed hope? Thank you, Jesus. We trust you. We find our strength in you.

  7. We are praying for God's perfect will to be done for both of you and little Willow. Lean back into His Everlasting Arms and find your rest. Easy to say and not so easy to do, I know. But He will sustain you. He loves you all SO MUCH! We are standing with you in prayer.

  8. Hold on, keep the faith, keep praying, miracles happen every day. Envision that precious child at age 5. Already she has touched so many lives and made you stronger. Keep asking God why and keep expecting an answer.keep sending those updates and keep being specific about what you want God to do. You have my sincere prayer that everything is gonna be all right. Even by chance if the end results are not as you wish. Just hold on to Jesus and ride out your storm

  13. God has used your Willow to show me areas where my heart is bleeding. Areas that I need to surrender my pain to God and let him truelly take the bitterness and resentments.
God has used this story to show me where my heart is swelled up. Often with pride and arrogance.

I thank God for revelation through baby Willow!

May God heal baby Willow of her physical bleeding and swelling. May he make us aware of the areas he wants to heal are wounds or sin.

Thank you Jesus for being true and faithful. May Willow, Allison, Tim and every family member and staff see your faithfulness. please let comfort and peace flow over Willow and her family....
